Hundreds of Bauer Alumni Anticipated to Attend Annual Meeting
Alumni and supporters of the University of Houston C. T. Bauer College of Business will gather on Aug. 16 in Cemo Hall for the signature event of the Bauer College Alumni Association, an annual meeting to celebrate the accomplishments and successes of the year.
In recent years, attendance for this signature event has broken records, drawing hundreds of alumni to visit their alma mater and connect with each other.
This year’s meeting will celebrate “Success: Past, Present and Future,” and will recognize the work of the Bauer College Alumni Association, including its monthly breakfast series and annual Ted Bauer Golf Classic, as well as recent student competition winners from the college.
“Being part of Bauer Alumni is a great way to stay involved and give back to the community,” said James Hong, Bauer Alumni Association president. “We have an impressive group of alums that are business leaders and have so much pride for UH and Bauer College and it is our responsibility to spread our message and continue to impact Houston in a great way.”

I graduated with the Class of ’54. After two years in the Army Counter Intelligence Corps as an officer, I spent five years with the Office of Naval Intelligence. Then I became a stock broker with several national firms. I then went to Kentucky where I worked with my brother in a company he bought at Paducah. Later I came back to Houston where I was responsible for 15 states with UBS. Since retirement I have lived at Charlottesville, Virginia where I attended the University of Virginia(UVA), for ten years. Here I have also writen a book and taken classes at the Darden Graduate School off Business at UVA. Life is good.
