The intersection of University of Houston and C. T. Bauer College of Business students and alumni is a common occurrence in the “real world.” At H-E-B, Alison Nawrot, a graduate of University of Houston-Clear Lake (IT, ’02), is training supervisor for the Houston Division. Working with her is current Bauer College of Business student Gisela Tamez who hopes to graduate with a double major in Management and Marketing in 2009. Tamez manages a group of 30 Houston trainers and helps schedule training for the San Antonio-based grocery store giant, one of the largest independently owned food retailers with stores in Texas and Mexico. Both agree that “dedication, drive and passion” spur them on in their careers.
