On Bauer Business Focus — A conversation on equipping business advisors with the tools they need with Andrew Schneider, business reporter for KUHF 88.7 FM.
Insperity, a business advisory company designed to help improve business performance, has partnered with the University of Houston C. T. Bauer College of Business to help improve employees performance and according to Jay Mincks, Insperity’s executive vice president of Sales and Marketing, the business simulation course is doing just that.
“What they’re given is typically a manufacturing operation so you have a whole gambit of things to look at and then they’re provided opportunities to take new products to market,” Mincks said. “If they choose the right product, it can grow their company and if they choose the wrong product, they lack growth. It’s just a fun way to put a punctuation mark on how to be successful.”
As Insperity employees are beginning to go out and work with clients with the skills learned in the intense business simulation, Mincks and his associates at Insperity have seen great return on investment from the course.
“Without exception everyone has been positively impacted by going through the simulation.” “They feel more confident anytime that they’re out visiting with people and they feel more confident to talk about what they need to discuss with clients.”
