On Bauer Business Focus – A conversation on the role of the Greater Houston Partnership (GHP) in promoting Houston as a thriving center for business and facilitating regional success.
According to GHP CEO Jeff Moseley, Houston boasts many attributes that contribute to its economic prosperity and shows tangible signs of coming out of the recession quicker than most cities.
Among the many strengths that Moseley pointed to were the area’s 50,000 jobs created last year, the impact of the Texas Medical Center and its more than 93,000 professionals, and the Port of Houston’s 30 percent increase in tonnage, maintaining and expanding its distribution and logistics service channels from the Southwest to the Rockies and Ohio Valley.
As its CEO since 2005, Moseley leads an 85-member professional staff which serves the 10-county Houston region and encompasses Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, San Jacinto and Waller Counties.
