Clinical Assistant Professor Named President-Elect for 2017-2018

Bauer College Clinical Assistant Professor Mohan Kuruvilla is the first president-elect from academia in the 80-year history of the Houston CPA Society.

A member of the Bauer College of Business faculty will lead one of the city’s premiere professional organizations over the next year.

Clinical Assistant Professor of Accounting Mohan Kuruvilla, who also serves as director of the college’s Certificate Programs in Accounting, has been chosen as the President-Elect of the Houston CPA Society for 2017-2018.

Kuruvilla, who has served on the Houston CPA Society Board of Directors for 6 years and the Texas CPA Society Board of Directors for 7 years, is the first President-Elect from the academic world during the 80-year history of the Houston CPA Society.  He will bring fresh perspectives on the future of the CPA profession and in developing the pipeline for the future.

The Houston CPA Society was founded in 1928 and serves Harris and 12 surrounding counties, providing continuing education, community service and networking opportunities to 8,000 members.
