Professional MBA Program is No. 27 Among Publics on 2017 Best Business Schools List

The Professional MBA program at the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston was ranked No. 27 among publics in the U.S. News & World Report 2017 Best Business Schools List.

The C. T. Bauer College of Business is among the best graduate business schools in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report, which released its 2017 list of the top MBA programs in the nation recently.

Bauer College’s Professional MBA, an evening program designed for working professionals, was ranked 27th among public institutions out of 136 ranked programs. The program was tied for 43rd overall of 219 ranked. Last year, the college ranked 48th overall.

“Our MBA programs continue to rise in the rankings,” Graduate and Professional Programs Assistant Dean Steve Koch said. “That’s a direct reflection of our great students, faculty, and alumni support. There are great things going on here at Bauer, and these programs have been climbing for years with great momentum moving forward.”

The list surveys 344 out of 470 graduate programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and ranks them according to peer assessments and part-time enrollment. Other factors include students’ undergraduate GPA and GMAT/GRE scores, as well as years of work experience of the incoming class.

U.S. News also ranked Bauer’s full-time MBA program within its 2017 Best Business Schools, tied for No. 49 among publics.
