The Part-Time MBA program at the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston was ranked No. 37 among publics in the Bloomberg BusinessWeek list of the Best Business Schools of 2016.

Bloomberg BusinessWeek announced this week its list of the Best Business Schools of 2016 and included the full-time MBA program at the C. T. Bauer College of Business among the best.

The final ranking included 87 participating schools overall placing the Bauer program at No. 37 among public institutions and No. 75 overall.

“As our students know, these rankings will continue to increase because of great Bauer students, great Bauer faculty (ranked #1 in the greater Houston Metro area), and the tremendous support from the University of Houston campus and alumni as a whole,” Graduate and Professional Programs Assistant Dean Steve Koch said. “Additionally, Bauer’s Ph.D. program is the highest regarded, most successful program in this part of Texas, and that academic environment just adds to the overall quality of experience our MBA students receive.”

The ranking is based on five measures, 15 percent of which is an MBA student survey requiring at least 30 students from each college to respond, showcasing student engagement. An employer survey makes up another 35 percent of the rankings focusing on employers of alumni.

In addition to employers, 30 percent of the survey talks to MBA alumni, and the final 20 percent looks at placement rates and starting compensation.
