A GLOBAL GOOGLE WIN
When students from the University of Houston C. T. Bauer College of Business put their minds to something, they think big — big, as in global. A four-woman team of Bauer MBA students put Houston and UH Bauer on the world map this week, taking the number one spot globally in Google’s 2011 Online Marketing Challenge. They earned their win by using a $200 budget for a three-week Google AdWords campaign for the Houston Symphony and impressed judges with their ability to analyze the smallest results for continuous improvement. As global champs, these Coogs will take an all-expenses-paid trip to Google’s headquarters in California, Googleplex.
