The C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston has named three new faculty directors for Graduate and Professional Programs.
Vanessa Patrick, Bauer Professor of Marketing at the University of Houston and a coauthor on a food waste research paper, said the researchers examined how attitudes toward human aging – “old is gold,” vs. “young is good” – translated to attitudes toward so-called “mature” produce.
Associate Professor David Peng was recently awarded a grant to study how to induce clinicians and hospital supply chain experts to work together to optimize hospital procurement of medical materials and supplies.
Undergraduate Business Programs Associate Dean, Frank Kelley, and Major Advising Director and Entrepreneurship Academic Advisor Asha Thomas, were recognized for their dedication to Bauer College students.
Olga Catoni (BBA ’04), a fifth-grade teacher at the School of Saint George Place and Bauer alumna, is being recognized for her efforts to support education and enrichment in Houston’s Hispanic community.
This summer, 19 public school youth from underserved communities in Houston spent a week learning about energy policy, geopolitics, climate change, energy production, green technology and human rights.
