Bringing their best ideas to the table, the University of Houston community pitched to producers of the ABC show “Shark Tank” during a private casting call on May 29, with the goal of appearing on-screen in the program’s upcoming seventh season.

The Houston economy is likely to see positive, albeit scaled-down, growth in the coming year, according to Robert W. (Bill) Gilmer, director of the Institute for Regional Forecasting at the C. T. Bauer College of Business.
Hosted by the Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship at the C. T. Bauer College of Business, ABC’s “Shark Tank” will come to campus on Friday, May 29, to hold a private casting event for UH students, faculty, staff and alumni.
Vivian Hernandez is one of nearly 1,000 students who will celebrate graduation on May 15 during Bauer College’s convocation.
During the May 15 convocation ceremony, the Bauer College will recognize outstanding graduates, including seven graduate students selected as the top in their respective programs and nine undergraduate students who received a 4.0 GPA throughout their entire academic careers.
