Bauer College Alumni Association Will Host UH Head Football Coach Tom Herman at Special Luncheon Networking Event
As new University of Houston Head Football Coach Tom Herman prepares the team for the upcoming season, he will spend time with alumni from the C. T. Bauer College of Business on Feb. 19 at a special luncheon at TDECU Stadium.
Herman comes to Houston after 10 seasons as an offensive coordinator, including three seasons with Ohio State University, where he helped the Buckeyes win the 2015 College Football Championship and was named the Broyles Award winner, presented to the nation’s top assistant coach.

University of Houston Football Team
Tom Herman was named the 13th head football coach for the University of Houston football team on Dec.16, 2014. He has developed record-setting and explosive offenses during each of his 10 seasons as an offensive coordinator. Herman was named the 2013 Rivals.com Big Ten Recruiter of the Year and national Top 25 recruiter. Not only has he been a coach in major universities in Texas, he has also left his legendary mark at Iowa and Ohio State.
Before becoming the new coach for the University of Houston football team, he was the offensive coordinator/quarterback coach for Ohio State. Prior to that, he was the offensive coordinator/quarterback coach for Iowa State for three years.
Herman was born in Cincinnati and raised in Simi Valley, Calif. He obtained a degree in business administration from California Lutheran in 1997. He also received a master’s in education from the University of Texas. Herman and his wife, Michelle, have a daughter Priya, and two sons, Maddock and Maverick.
