It’s “nothing but net” for retailers selling Rockets gear during the 2014 NBA playoffs.

As they head into their second playoff game against the Portland Trailblazers on Wednesday, fans will purchase their fair share of memorabilia to show support for their hometown team. With Dwight Howard listed as one of the top eight NBA shoe revenue generators and James Harden pulling in $110 on average for a single jersey, they make up a large portion of the NBA’s booming 20 percent sales increase in the United States this season.

Bauer College marketing Professor Betsy Gelb is available to discuss how the Rockets playoff run can be a big pay day for retailers.
