Student Entrepreneur Experiencing Success as CEO Prior to Graduation

As several hundred students prepare to walk across the stage at the C. T. Bauer College of Business fall commencement ceremony on Dec. 19, Eric Beydoun is already looking beyond his cap and gown as the CEO and co-founder of Wavve Stream, Inc. Wavve is a water filtration company that produces a patented graphene-based nanotechnology, enabling existing water filtration systems on the market to simultaneously remove various contaminants from water.

Beydoun co-founded the company as part of a student business plan team from Bauer College’s Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship that worked with University of Houston’s Division of Research. Beydoun and his team developed a commercialization plan for UH faculty intellectual property that garnered numerous pitch competition awards around the country.

Beydoun is available to discuss how his company is leading initiatives to improve access to clean drinking water globally.
